True Blood Episode 59 Speculations “Sunset”

There are only two episodes left for True Blood’s fifth season. Episode 59 titled “Sunset” will air on Sunday 8/19/12. Below are some of my speculations for the episode based on the casting calls and the episode description.

Casting Calls:

Episode #511, “Finally”

[GONDRY] Mid 30s, slimy and conniving, with slicked back hair, Gondry is a Vampire Security Guard. He has a sort of amused contempt for his assignment. Guest star.

[BERTRAND] A swarthy Frenchman, authoritative, confident, he is the Minister of the European Vampire League. Guest star.

[MURPHY ROLLINS] Mid 50s, a werewolf, strong, a man who speaks his mind, he brings a warning about a new breed of vampires to Alcide and Jackson. Guest star.

[TEEN-GIRL VAMPIRE] This teenage girl vampire with a ravenous, feral, just plain evil look about her. Co-star.

[ANGRY FAERIE] This angry faerie gets into an argument with the belligerent Faerie and the Pissed Off Faerie in a faerie free-for-all. Co-star.

[AUTHORITY GUARD #1, #2] These rough Authority Guards at the prison help keep order. Co-star.

[BIKER VAMP] This newly formed vampire with a feral, ravaneous, evil look is traveling around with the Teen-Girl Vamp and the Businessman Vamp. No lines, 2 scenes.

[BUSINESSMAN VAMP] This businessman vamp with a ravenous, feral, just plain evil look. Co-star. (this looks like the vampire we see Alcide battling in the promo for episode 5.11)

[FAERIE BOY, FAERIE GIRL] This Faerie boy and girl get all amorous and excited as they pull Jason into their Faerie Club. Co-star. (this is probably when Jason is being held by Russell)

[GENERAL CAVENAUGH] A tough as nails general along the lines of Norman Schwarzkopf. Guest star.

The episode description states:

Slipping further into religious fervor, Bill (Stephen Moyer) gives Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) an order she’s loath to carry out.

In the “Jason Stackhouse” promo we see Jessica asking to borrow Bill’s phone in order to warn Jason about Russell and Newlin. Bill won’t let her warn him. The “order” might be the one to not tell Jason. Many are also wondering if Bill will take her up on her offer to turn Jason in to a vampire. We do see Jason and Jessica in the dirt together:

But then again we also see Jason bloody and dirty looking quite alive. (the Fairies drag him into the fairy club probably in time)

Not sure but this might be two different scenes. Jason might be hurt and Jess may have to heal him but it looks like it might be part of a separate scene. We do see Russell surprising Jason:

Armed with a damning video of Russell (Denis O’Hare) and Steve (Michael McMillian), the military delivers an ultimatum to the Authority. (we see the General in the promo “A Very Expensive Meal).

This does not bode well at all for Russell and Newlin. I have a feeling they will both be staked before the season finale. Russell seems to be very upset about something in the screencap above. Is he losing another vamp lover?

Claude (Giles Matthey) and Maurella (Kristina Anapau) take Sookie (Anna Paquin) to meet the faerie elder, who may know something about an ancient family secret. I’m hoping to see the faerie elder of Niall perhaps! But it looks like the elder fairy is a female (we see her on the stage in the screencap above) We also see Jason a bit bloody and looking like he’s been in a fight perhaps post Russell.

Alcide (Joe Manganiello) reconnects with his father. Alcide will confront JD in the season finale and fight him again for the pack master title.

Sam (Sam Trammell) and Luna (Janina Gavankar) hitch a rideinto the Authority. Looks like Luna is captured and kept in the Authority prison. We see her in an Authority jail in the screencap above. Don’t know why she can’t just shift into a fly? Perhaps the silver in the jail cell interferes with her shifting abilities.
This episode was written by Angela Robinson and  directed by Lesli Linka Glatter.

Vampire Carolyn visits Fangtasia perhaps to deal with Tara killing Elijah. At least the military is confronting The Authority over the killings by Russell and Steve Newlin. Little does the military know that the Tru Blood factories being destroyed was because of an order from The Authority.

Bill is deep into the religious belief that he is the “chosen one” and we see Lillith appearing to him telling him to drink all of her. I don’t believe Bill to be “faking it” in order to fool Salome and the Authority. He drank the ‘special Kool Aid”/crazy blood and it has him pretty deep into the sanguanista way.

So many story lines need to be closed up by the finale end. Pretty sure they will end the season on another big cliffhanger. I’m not positive that Salome will survive the finale. Pretty sure she will be staked in the finale. Hopefully Eric will stake her and save Bill and Nora and get the heck out of that place! However Bill might stake Salome if she confronts him. There are just so many possible twists and turns to the last two episodes.

So what do you think we will see in the new episode on Sunday? Waiting sucks!

True Blood Episode 59 Promo Video – Jason Stackhouse Vampire?

HBO posted a new video promo for True Blood episode 5.11 “Sunset”. This one features Bill and Jessica. Yes Jessica does raise the possibility of perhaps Jason becoming a vampire.

Screencaps will be on this page: True Blood season 5 episode 11

Wondering now will we see Jessica try to turn Jason? We do see her and Jason in the dirt in the first preview shown after episode 5.10. HBO released some episode stills that showed Jason and Sookie in the Fae club. The newsletter from HBO for True Blood had this image:

True Blood Inside the Episode Video for Episode 58 “Gone, Gone, Gone”

HBO posted the “Inside the Episode video” for tonight’s new True Blood. Episode 5.10 “Gone, Gone, Gone” definitely had a few questions answered but not enough! Still have more questions and only have 2 more episodes left.

This was not in this video but it was part of the “interactive” feature for tonight’s episode 5.10. It helps explain why Eric was looking the way he did when he was dragged into see Bill. (yes he was tortured!)

True Blood Episode 57 Promo “Cryptic Message” Screencaps

Here are the screen caps for the promo video for episode 5.09 “Cryptic Message”. This one features Lafayette and Sookie. Loved Lafayette in this video “Dead people…stop being so cryptic!!”

The episode description had a mention that Sookie would be getting a message from Gran. Sounds like Lafayette may have been the one delivering the message! Sookie and Lafayette are going through some of Gran’s scrapbooks, and saved memorabilia including a news article concerning Sookie’s parents.  Sookie is very surprised to learn that Bud Dearborne was the one who found their bodies. Pretty sure Bud might have been ‘glamoured’ into forgetting some key details.

Ausiello: It features a “big body count,” confirms series creator Alan Ball. “Probably more than any other episode we’ve ever had. I’m not saying they’re bodies we know, although some of them are. There’s a lot of carnage.” Bonus scoop: The final frame of the season will feature one of these three characters: Sookie, Bill or Eric.
