Happy Monday! Hope all are not suffering with a “fangover”. The end of True Blood’s Season 3 was last night. Alexander Skarsgard fans will have to wait until June for new Eric Northman scenes. Well, how about Bon Temps’ other new additions—Denis O’Hare, Marshall Allman, Kevin Alejandro and Lauren Bowles? We have the scoop:
Believe it or not (and after last week’s, um, sunny episode ending, we were inclined to go with the not), all of the aforementioned newbies will be back on True Blood for season four, according to sources. So it looks like all those pretty faces up there survive next Sunday’s “bloody” (per Alexander Skarsgård) season three finale—even the (gulp) spine-snatchin’ King of Mississippi, Russell Edgington. (Hide yer babies!)
Dennis is set to return to the HBO hit next year, according to sources, but don’t expect to see Russell too early in the year. We have it on good authority (Alan Ball‘s) that initially witches will reign supreme, but I’m told the plan is for Russell to reappear later in the season.
As for Lafayette’s lover, Jesus (Kevin Alejandro), Nelsan tells me, “We’re partners in crime now, my boy toy, so he will be back.” Adds Kevin with a knowing grin: “I’m hearing rumors about that, too. I’ve never been a part of anything this big before.”

Only one more episode of True Blood season 3 left! It will air on September 12, 2010. HBO posted the trailer for the finale below: SPOILER ALERT—

It seems like yesterday that I was seated in the Arclight theater waiting for the season 3 premiere! (ok that was in June!) Where does the time go? Waiting for Season 3 is definitely going to “suck”.

Season 3 of True Blood only has 2 episodes remaining. Episode 3.11 #35 will air on Sunday 8/29/10 and the finale will air on 9/12/10. HBO released a new trailer showing Eric confronting Russell Edginton. The grieving vampire king wants to know why did Eric kill Talbot. The short video below shows that action.

HBO posted another trailer promo for episode 34 3.10 “I Smell a Rat”. In this video we find Pam and Eric at Fangtasia. Pam is questioning her maker. The gallery below contains the screen capture images from this video. Pam is showing concern and also a bit of frustration with her maker and his actions.

The image above has not been verified but it does raise quite a few questions. In the upcoming episode description for True Blood 3.10- Eric tempts Russell with the ultimate vampire dream. The image above may very well be for the next episode. If by drinking Sookie’s blood a vampire is able to become a “day walker” that could very well be a vampire dream. It may be valid since there were prior spoiler images rumoured to be from the season 3 finale released showing Sookie, Eric (with visible burns on face) and another actor with a very “charred face” makeup appearance in the photos. Image shown below.
For episode 3.12 the summary states that Eric grapples with his conscience while plotting his perfect revenge against Russell. Fed up with being vampire crack Sookie reconsiders a life with out Bill or any other vampires. Another recent news item states that Eric covered in blood as is Pam are in Fangtasia’s and another vampire is in the corner with a badly burned face tied up in silver (next to a glass goblet with the remnants of another vampire “goo” remains). The chained up vampire could be Russell since it seems he goes nowhere without his Talbot in gooform. It also states that Sookie has blood marks on her wrist (a lot like the photo above where it looks like Russell is taking a bite) But no mention of Sookie having bite marks on her neck so in the photo above it is misleading fans to think that Eric also takes a bite.

As season 3 draws near to the season finale fans are wondering what will happen next? Eric Northman exacted a bit of revenge against Russell Edginton and Talbot met his final death. In episode 3.09, fans saw the King go all “vampbo” on live television and saying “we will eat you after we eat your children”.

I can only image what the AVL will do to try and salvage their public relations with humans. The look on Nan Flanigan’s face while seeing the King was just priceless. Oh and yes Nan Flanigan was enjoying a bit of natural true blood (not the synthetic version). I know that Eric Northman deserves to get his “revenge” against Russell but I will miss Talbot! He was one of the highlights in some of the drab episodes from this season.
HBO did not take long to have a way for Talbot fans to pay their respects for the witty Talbot. The HBO store recently added a “RIP Talbot” t-shirt to their site. The image below shows the t-shirt and link for the store. Talbot would be proud if he were not finally dead that Russell is mourning him deeply and also carrying him around in quite a classy crystal urn. (Still trying to figure out which Waterford pattern this might be) Any purchases made through the link will give the site a credit which I in turn donate back to charitable causes supported by Alexander Skarsgard.
