A stunning Halle Berry opened the Scream 2010 Awards on Saturday night 10/16 and presented the Ultimate Scream award to the film Inception.
Meghan Fox was next presening the Best Villain award to Mickey Rourke, “Iron Man 2”
Fans were also treated to a film clip of “Super” featuring Jim Trains of The Office (Dwight). He is a super hero who takes care of evil by wielding a wrench.
True Blood fans were not disappointed to see Stephen Moyer win for the Holy Sh#t Moment. Stephen Moyer accepted the award for his twisted sex scene with Mariana Klavenko in True Blood’s season 3.
The amazing set backdrop of the Scream Awards started glowing and showing a certain very famous car and the music from “Back to the Future” played. David Spade appeared on stage coming out of the DeLorean and then co-stars Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyed hugged in front of the DeLorean as they took home the 25th Anniversary Award for Robert Zemeckis’ time traveling movie.
The stars of the upcoming AMC series “Walking Dead” presented the award for best Comic Book and it was a good thing since “Walking Dead” won! The audience was shown a world premiere of the upcoming series “Walking Dead”.
Aaron Eckhart who will be appearing in the upcoming film “Battlefield Los Angeles” presented the Best Fantasy Actress award to Kristen Stewart.
The Comic Con Icon award was announced and Ray Bradbury is the 2010 winner.
Sir Anthony Hopkins presented the World Premiere for what appears to be one of the scariest movies that will soon be released (an exorcist type film).
A change of pace next when George Hardy from Troll 2 was on stage for “Best Worst Movie”. The winner chosen by fans for this category was “Piranhna 3-D.
Kelly Osborne looking very svelte had the honor to present Best Horror Actor to Alexander Skarsgard, True Blood“.

The cast of “Lost” led by Jorge Garcia took the Award for Final Farewell. A montage of the series was shown on the big screen for fans. ( I still can’t follow that series!)
Eli Roth presented the award for Best Mutilation. This category really made a lot of the audience close their eyes for most of the presentation since all the nominees were being shown on the big screen and yes it was very gross! The winner was The Human Centipede.

By 9:05 pm on Saturday the slight drizzle that had started hours earlier was coming down full force but that did not dampen our mood. Especially for this True Blood fan! The category for Best TV Show was presented by Marilyn Manson. A little trailer featuring a vampire couple and the slayers had already done away with the guy and the female was brought out on stage and set a fire! There were some technical issues with the microphone due to the rain but that did not stop fans from hearing that the winner for Best TV Show was “True Blood”. Alan Ball accepted the award (and made a joke that since he had just broken a toe he could use the spike to break another one). Also on stage were Stephen Moyer, Anna Paquin, Rutina Wesley , Kristin Bauer, Sam Trammell, and Alexander Skarsgard.
Sarah Silverman presented the Best Movie award to Zombieland.
Bill Murray turned up in his “Ghostbusters” gear to accept the award for Best Horror Movie for “Zombieland.” He listed many of those from SNL that are no longer with us as thanks for all the great work. He also was the winner for the Best Cameo Scream Award.
Nikki Reed introduced MIA who performed one of their new songs. (featuring photos of very inebriated people).
The cast of Vampire Diaries presented the Award for Best Horror Actress Anna Paquin for her work as Sookie Stackhouse on True Blood.
Don Cheadle started off the final act of the Awards. Sigourney Weaver came out on stage in a large “egg” (looked like something from her famous role in “Alien”) for her award of Scream Heroine. James Cameron accepted the award for Top 3d Movie-Avatar and while on stage he also found out that he received an award for best Effects, and Best Director.
Rosario Dawson presented the award for Best Fantasy Film to “Twilight Saga: Eclipse,”. Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone and Kristen Stewart were on had to accept the award. In addition, the Breakout Male Performance: went to Xavier Samuel, “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse”
Blake Lively presented the Most Anticipated Movie to Ryan Reynolds for Green Lantern. The audience all had rings that lit up in the green lantern light style and were proudly wearing when Ryan Reynolds came out on stage.

Tonight is when fans can tune it to watch the Scream Awards cerememony which were taped on Saturday night!
Alexander Skarsgard accepting his Best Horror Actor Scream Award
It was a joy for this fan to see Alexander Skarsgard win the Scream Award on Saturday night for the Best Horror Actor category. In his acceptance speech he says how he was asked by some kids outside why was he up for this award? He said well this season he got to kill some werewolves and also get to kiss a pretty blonde. It was great to also see the True Blood show win for Best TV Show category. Kelly Osborne was the presenter for the award to Alexander (image below).

Alan Ball thanking fans for award. (Marilyn Manson was the presenter-he is chatting with Alex on right)
The first True Blood cast member on stage for the night though was not Alexander. Stephen Moyer accepted a Scream Award for the Holy Sh#t moment for the Twisted Sex scene with Mariana (Lorena). Stephen made a mention on how Mariana could not be there since she was still in traction from that scene (which did get a good chuckle from the audience). The rain did not stop the fans from cheering as loudly as possible for all the categories. The rain did have a crazy effect on everyone’s hair (Stephen Moyer’s hair got curlier from the rain and also from Anna running her fingers through it trying to help keep it from getting too crazy. I know I definitely lost that battle that night!) Despite the rain and some rude couple sitting behind us (they kept heckling and shouting out during Alexander’s acceptance speech) the night was absolutely amazing!
True Blood cast on stage accepting award for Best TV Show
I have a listing of the winners from Saturday night and will post shortly. Not all of the awards were released/stated that night which was a bit of a dissapointment for me. I really wanted to hear if Sam Trammell and Deborah Woll had won the awards in which they were nominated.
Mickey Rourke received a Best Villain Award for his role in “Iron Man”. The images below are from the red carpet arrivals that I was able to photograph. He was very nice to all the fans and posed for many photos even though they were rushing the actors into the theater.
The TV Show Dexter was up for several awards but unfortunately none were given out to the show or cast at the awards. One of the cast members-David Zayas graciously posed for the photo below and he also was very kind to all the fans and took as many photos as the time would allow.
The TV Show Lost did receive a special “Tribute” during the Scream Awards and the cast appeared on the stage (they showed clips from the past seasons on the big screens). Jorge Garcia was also very popular on the Red Carpet. Many many fans asked for autographs and or photos with the actor and he was amazing with all of them. He was always smiling and super nice. His co-star on the show Harold Perrineau is also below in the images. He was dancing around his companion in order to get to the fans to sign autographs and pose for photos. It was great to see them also having a fun time that night.
The Scream Awards were taped on Saturday night and will be shown on Spike TV on Tuesday October 19th. It was a ton of fun to see it happen live but I am looking forward to seeing the awards on TV.

Just letting the fans know that I will be at the Scream Awards ceremony being held on Saturday 10/16/10. I added some images taken 10/15/10 of the preparation work that was fast and furious at the site where the awards will be held. The awards will be at The Greek Theater and the show will be televised by Spike TV on Tuesday 10/19/10.
There will be no photos or videos allowed during the taping of the awards ceremony and I will honor that policy. (sorry I know there will be many “snuck photos” but I don’t wish to risk the loss of camera!)
If fans have any questions they are dying to ask any of the True Blood cast that will be present please leave a comment. We are leaving for the awards early afternoon Saturday so please leave a comment on this post. No guarantees that I will be able to ask all of them but I sure will try at the red carpet or at the after party! Keeping fingers crossed that the Viking Vampire will bring home the “spike”! (or two) Also hoping for many wins for the True Blood cast and ensemble!

True Blood is also nomintated in the “Ultimate Scream” category~ Sadly, Alexander Skarsgard was not in the “Best Villain” category for 2010. (he won the Spike TV Scream award for Best Villain in 2009). However Alexander Skargard and Stephen Moyer were BOTH nominated in the “Best Horror Actor” category! Oh Oh! It is going to be quite a race I fear!! Sam Trammell is nominated for “Best Supporting Actor”.
