True Blood Sexy Beasts on TV Guide Cover!

“There’s some fun stuff with Sookie and her men coming down the pike,” promises Ball. “The discovery that Sookie is still alive throws Alcide’s world into turmoil.” As for Eric and our favorite telepathic waitress, fans of Charlaine Harris’ books won’t be disappointed. “The spell has created an Eric that never would have existed before, and that is the person Sookie is falling for. They’re both genuinely falling in love.” And where does that leave Bill? “He doesn’t like it one bit,” says Ball. “But eventually the clash between the witches and vampires is going to bring everyone together.” First, we brought the guys together for a chat.

Alexander Skarsgard gets some added bite from ‘True Blood’

In an interview with The Los Angeles Times, Alexander Skarsgard talks about Amnesia Eric and his work in True Blood.  And Peter Berg, Battleship Director, makes an interesting and funny revelation about Alex casting!

Amnesia Eric:

“It’s a completely different side of Eric,” Skarsgard said. “He doesn’t know who he is so all that baggage is gone — 1,000 years of resentment and bitterness, the whole loathing humanity kind of stuff is gone. But there has to be an element of danger there still. I didn’t want him to become too much of a little puppy…. I don’t think it would be fun to watch him for very long if he was completely emasculated.”

Peter Berg about Alexander Skarsgard:

“I was first made aware of Alex Skarsgard by the 15 women who work in my office who came in collectively as one with a picture of Alex and said, ‘He is going to be in “Battleship.” It’s nonnegotiable,'” Berg said with a laugh. “When they left, I pulled up some ‘True Bloods’ and really liked the show and thought that he was completely right for this character. I had a great meeting with him — he and I spent a day on an aircraft carrier in San Diego. After that I was convinced he was the right guy for the film. He had a real sense of what the purpose of that role was. He had really strong opinions and ideas.”

Note: We must give our heartfelt thanks to those 15 women!

In the cute note of the article, author Gina McIntyre says about Alex:

“Any time he mentions Sweden or his family — he has five brothers and one sister — he brightens noticeably.”

Inside ‘True Blood’’s Fourth Season-An interview with Alan Ball

Alan Ball was interviewed by Jace Lacob from the Daily Beast.  Ball revealed True Blood Season 4 it’s a real love story!

About Season 3:

For his part, Ball doesn’t look back once a chapter comes to an end. “Honestly, at this point, I don’t even remember Season 3,” he said. “I’m not a big postmortem guy. Maybe that’s just a way of avoiding even my own criticism, but there’s so much to be done now, so I just move on.”

Vampires vs. Witches:

“For the first time, our vampires are facing a real enemy who is not another [more powerful] vampire,” Ball said of Season 4’s Big Bad, related to the coven of witches at the center of the storyline. “For the first time, our vampires have had their weapons taken away from them. There’s a really funny moment later in the season where they have to resort to conventional weapons because their powers are very effectively taken from them…

More Love!

The season may be a little touch more romantic than other seasons have been… It’s a real love story.”

About fans expectations:

“Once you start paying too much attention to that stuff, then it all becomes about your perception of what other people’s perceptions of the show are,” said Ball, who doesn’t visit Internet boards to see what fans are talking about and will never join Twitter. “I don’t want to create a direct line between myself and fans of the show and start feeling like I have to satisfy this particular desire or need of these people, because then it’s not writing, it’s marketing.”

Happiness in True Blood:

“I have a rule of thumb,” said Ball. “Once people come together and they’re happy, they get one episode of happiness before we blow it all to hell.”

EW Spoilers for True Blood Season 4: Eric, Bill and Jason!

Entertainment Weekly is giving us some new spoilers for Season 4:

Hi. I am a HUGE fan of True Blood. I know this season is primarily about Sookie/Eric, but this Bill fan wants to know if the former couple will have any decent scenes together as well? Will Bill be pursuing Sookie or is he too busy with his new power position? — CK

I know you’ve seen the first eight minutes, but the next eight will definitely answer your question about whether Bill cares or not. That said, Bill’s storyline is sometimes very twisted, but mostly just full of twists.

I’m gonna be selfish here by not asking for couple news. All I want is Eric! If not Eric, Alcide will do. Have your pick, thanks. — Shaden

Eric is constantly underestimated, and he’ll prove that in the first episode when he comes into possession of something extremely valuable. Also, episode 2 has some pretty great Eric moments, especially the last scene.

Let’s get some scoop on Jason, please! Bill, Sookie, Eric — love ‘em all. But haven’t heard a thing about Jason! — Gloria

Ryan Kwanten has talked about some dark and disturbing scenes that are in Jason’s future, and he was right on point. One scene in episode 2 might even require eye covering if you’re squeamish.
