The first 5,000 WonderCon ’12 attendees to come by comiXology’s booth (#107) will receive a limited edition promotional postcard imprinted with a unique download code redeemable for The Walking Dead Vol. 1 exclusively on comiXology.comIn partnership with The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman’s Skybound, comiXology is making sure attendees of WonderCon ’12 get a “taste” of the first graphic novel — regularly $8.99 for 140 pages —that the hit The Walking Dead TV show is based on.

In addition to the must-have The Walking Dead Vol. 1 giveaway, comiXology will be providing hands on demonstrations of some new as-of-yet unannounced features on it’s Comics by comiXology digital comics platform at their booth all weekend long.  Attendees will also find comiXology leading the digital comics discussion in a number of different panels during the show.

All WonderCon ’12 attendees are invited to attend the special “ComiXology Open Discussion Panel” where comiXology co-founder and CEO David Steinberger will answer questions from the audience on “Everything Digital” with no topic off limits. Nerdist Industries at WonderCon

Live podcast panel with special guests will highlight Friday night 

Los Angeles, CA, March 11, 2012 – Nerdists of the world will unite in Anaheim as Chris Hardwick brings Nerdist Industries to WonderCon in a live panel discussion with friends, laughs and surprises. Hear the founder and Chief Creative Officer of Nerdist Industries talk about all Nerdist-centric goings on for 2012 and beyond.

Battleship Movie Trailer and On the Barge Video

Another video trailer for Peter Berg’s film “Battleship” was added to youtube. (video below). Alexander Skarsgard can be seen for a brief moment at around the 42 second mark. The film is due to be released May 18,2012. Universal Pictures is also featuring a panel at WonderCon with Alexander Skarsgard, Brooklyn Decker and Peter Berg. WonderCon Perks and Quick Guide Online Now

WonderCon will be held March 16 through March 18 in Anaheim California. WonderCon offers a variety of panel discussions, movie and TV series events, comics publisher presentations and much more. per the WonderCon website:

On Friday and Saturday, the program schedule extends into the evening hours and includes special nighttime programs. On Friday, catch the exclusive world premiere of the new WB Animation and DC Universe movie Superman vs. The Elite, which screens in the giant Ballroom on the third level starting at 6:30. On Saturday evening, the WonderCon Masquerade returns for its eighth big year (click here for details). As always, your WonderCon membership badge gets you into these events for free, while seating is available.

Universal Pictures will present footage and special guests  from two of its upcoming epic action-adventures: Battleship (May 18) and Snow White and the Huntsman (June 1). Battleshipdirector/producer Peter Berg will be joined by two of the star’s from the film, Alexander Skarsgård and Brooklyn Decker, to discuss the project. Snow White and the Huntsman‘s director, Rupert Sanders, will answer questions about the new movie starring Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth and Sam Claflin.

Alexander Skarsgard Photos NASDAQ Bell Ringing in NYC

A very lucky fan who took some great photographs of Alexander Skarsgard when he was in New York City to ring the Nasdaq opening bell published the rest of her photos. (the image above is one of my favorite ones!) Huge thanks to M-brushfire fairy for the great images. Her blog is called charity4suckers and she is on a mission to create change one blood sucker at a time. (she donates money to the charities of the fave cast who play vampires). Her blog post was called “operation bucket list! My trip to NYC to see Alexander Skarsgard @Nasdaq. So happy she got to see him and yes she got some great photos!!

Nathan Barr On Schedule For Upcoming Wondercon!

The full schedule for Wondercon has been released! Nathan Barr, True Blood composer is scheduled to appear on Friday 4/1/11.which will take place over three days from Friday, April 1 through Sunday, April 3. The event will be held in San Francisco at Moscone Center South. SOURCE: Movieweb
