 Synopsis: Leonato (Clark Gregg), the governor of Messina, is visited by his friend Don Pedro (Reed Diamond) who is returning from a victorious campaign against his rebellious brother Don John (Sean Maher). Accompanying Don Pedro are two of his officers: Benedick (Alexis Denisof) and Claudio (Fran Kranz). While in Messina, Claudio falls for Leonato’s daughter Hero (Jillian Morgese), while Benedick verbally spars with Beatrice (Amy Acker), the governor’s niece. The budding love between Claudio and Hero prompts Don Pedro to arrange with Leonato for a marriage.

In the days leading up to the ceremony, Don Pedro, with the help of Leonato, Claudio and Hero, attempts to sport with Benedick and Beatrice in an effort to trick the two into falling in love. Meanwhile, the villainous Don John, with the help of his allies: Conrade (Riki Lindhome) and Borachio (Spencer Treat Clark), plots against the happy couple, using his own form of trickery to try to destroy the marriage before it begins.

A series of comic and tragic events continue to keep the two couples from truly finding happiness, but then again perhaps love may prevail.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will bookend the WonderCon weekend of March 29-31 in Anaheim with animated film adventures featuring DC Comics’ greatest heroes, first presenting the World Premiere of Superman: Unbound as Friday night’s marquee event, then capping Sunday’s programming with a screening of LEGO Batman: The Movie – DC Superheroes Unite.

Both presentations will be supported with expansive post-screening panel discussions by cast and filmmakers, autograph opportunities for fans, and interview opportunities for media in attendance.

On Friday, March 29 at 6:00 p.m., fans lucky enough to gain admission to the Anaheim Convention Center’s Arena will witness the World Premiere of Superman: Unbound, the latest DC Universe Animated Original Movie. A destructive force is devastating planets across the galaxy – with Earth next in its sights – and even Superman may not be capable of halting the destruction alone. Based on the Geoff Johns/Gary Frank 2008 DC Comics release “Superman: Brainiac,” the film’s stellar voicecast is led by Matt Bomer (White Collar) as Superman, John Noble(Fringe, The Lord of the Rings films) as Brainiac, Molly Quinn (Castle) as Supergirl and Stana Katic (Castle) as Lois Lane. Quinn will be on hand to lead the post-premiere panel discussion alongside producer/directorJames Tucker (Justice League, Batman: The Brave and the Bold), screenwriter Bob Goodman (Warehouse 13, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns) and eight-time Emmy Award-winning dialogue director Andrea Romano (Batman: The Dark Knight Returns). As always, the panel discussion will include exclusive prizes and some potential glimpses into future DCU animated films by moderator Gary Miereanu. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, Superman: Unbound will be released on Blu-ray, DVD, OnDemand and For Download on May 7, 2013.

Prior to the premiere, the Superman: Unbound panelists will sign WonderCon-exclusive mini-posters from 3:00-4:00 p.m. at the DC Entertainment booth.

On Sunday, March 31 at 2:00 p.m. in Room 300AB, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will present the first West Coast screening of LEGO Batman: The Movie – DC Superheroes Unite.  The ultimate blend of action and humor guaranteed to entertain fanboys of all ages, LEGO Batman: The Movie – DC Superheroes Unite finds Lex Luthor taking jealousy to new heights when fellow billionaire Bruce Wayne wins the Man of the Year Award. To top Wayne’s accomplishment, Lex begins a campaign for President – and to create the atmosphere for his type of fear-based politics, he recruits the Joker to perfect a Black LEGO Destructor Ray. While wreaking havoc on Gotham, Lex successfully destroys Batman’s technology – forcing the Caped Crusader to reluctantly turn to Superman for help.

A lively panel discussion will follow the screening featuring TT Animation’s award-winning director/producer Jon Burton and renowned videogame/animation actors Troy Baker (Bioshock Infinite, Batman: Arkham City), Travis Willingham (Avengers Assemble, The Super Hero Squad Show), Christopher Smith (Mortal Combat vs. DC Universe),Charlie Schlatter (Diagnosis Murder) and Laura Bailey (The Super Hero Squad Show). Once again, special prizes will be awarded to a lucky few audience members by moderator Gary Miereanu.

Prior to the screening/panel, LEGO Batman: The Movie – DC Superheroes Unite panelists will sign WonderCon-exclusive mini-posters from Noon-12:45 p.m. at the DC Entertainment booth.

TNT’s Falling Skies To Invade WonderCon

TNT’s epic drama Falling Skies, basic cable’s #1 summer drama among key adult demos, is bringing the Second Mass resistance back to WonderCon Anaheim with a panel Q&A and exclusive look at what’s ahead in season 3. Series stars Drew Roy (Secretariat), Sarah Carter(Shark) and Seychelle Gabriel (Weeds) will join executive producer Remi Aubuchon (24,Persons Unknown) for a panel session on Saturday, March 30 at the Anaheim Convention Center. The panel session will include several exclusive clips offering a sneak peek at the first episode of Falling Skies season 3, which is set to launch this summer on TNT.

Falling Skies tells the extraordinary tale of life and survival in the wake of a catastrophic alien invasion. Noah Wyle stars as a college professor who becomes an unlikely resistance leader. The series also stars Moon BloodgoodWill PattonMaxim Knight and Connor Jessup.In the third season of Falling SkiesGloria Reuben is set to guest-star in a multiple-episode arc as Marina Perlata, an aide to Wyle’s Tom Mason. In addition, Robert Sean Leonard is slated to guest-star as Roger Kadar, an obsessive but gifted scientist who runs the local power grid and lives underground with his pet rats, earning him the nickname “The Rat King.”Falling Skies premiered in summer 2011 and ranked as basic cable’s #1 new series of the year. The series returned with strong numbers last year, scoring 5.6 million viewers and ranking as basic cable’s #1 drama of the summer with adults 25-54 (3 million).

BBC America’s new Supernatural Saturday lineup launches Saturday, March 30 with Doctor Who at 8/7c, Orphan Black at 9/8c ,and The Nerdist at 10/9c. Doctor Whowill kick off the screening with Steven Moffat’s new episode “Phantom of the Hex,” the first of eight epic new episodes starring Matt Smith and his new companion Jenna-Louise Coleman. 6:00–7:00 Textures: A Coloring Workshop with Alex Sinclair—DC Comics colorist Alex Sinclair will show you how he uses textures to enhance his work on comic book panels, pages, and covers. He will share tips on how to use the Adobe Photoshop brush tool to its full potential and to help you create different textures. Alex will do various demos and answer questions about his techniques. WonderCon 2013 Will Be Held In Anaheim

March 29-31, 2013 at the Anaheim Convention Center

WonderCon returns to the Anaheim Convention Center Easter weekend, March 29-31, for three big days of comics and popular arts fun! After a very successful first event in Anaheim in the spring of 2012, WonderCon Anaheim 2013 will include a giant Exhibit Hall (this year in Halls A and B of the Convention Center), multiple programming tracks, plus the Masquerade, Anime, Games, and much more.

Early details on the event include ten special guests who have been confirmed for the March show: Dean Koontz (author, Odd Thomas series, Frankenstein series),Marjorie Liu (writer, Astonishing X-Men), Doug Mahnke (artist, Green Lantern),Ann Nocenti (writer, Green Arrow, Katana), Jason Palmer (artist/illustrator,Indiana Jones Blu-ray set, Serenity, Star Wars), Dan Slott (writer, Superior Spider-Man), Jeff Smith (cartoonist, Bone, RASL), Steranko (writer/artist, Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.), and WonderCon friends cartoonist Sergio Aragonés and writer Mark Evanier.
