New True Blood Season Six Poster

TB6_Poster_3.indd

True Blood finally released a season 6 poster shown above. No One Lives Forever is the tag line and it features a blurry image of a vampire. Just which one it is we can’t tell yet (but it looks like Bill Compton to me). Source:

The season six will air on June 16, 2013. Waiting has sucked but the new season is almost here!!

A lucky fan was able to get a photo of Alexander Skarsgard filming for the new season of True Blood (they were filming on location) Hopefully this will help end some of the many rumors surrounding Eric’s future on the show. Pretty sure they are filming the final episodes for this season and Eric still looks pretty “undead” in the photo:

EW True Blood Season 6 On Location Image

EWTBS6

The May 17, 2013 issue of Entertainment Weekly magazine has 2 True Blood related photos. The first one features Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin on set. Stephen is directing  the season 6 premiere episode. The story picks up right where season 5 ended with Alexander Skarsgard (Eric) and Anna Paquin (Sookie) are attempting to escape a ‘very very scary’ and naked -Bill. “I’m really Method” stated Stephen.

The second photo was part of the guilty pleasures article and shows Joe Manganiello in his role of Alcide Herveaux. “Sure you watch for the supoernatural drama. But when you check the episode rations, that’s not what the S stands for, now is it?”

Sookie Stackhouse’s Final Chapter EW Article

9179BQFdJML._SL1500_

The upcoming Entertainment Weekly magazine has an article covering the final Sookie Stackhouse book and an interview with Charlaine Harris. Scans are below.

Yes the stake is through the Sookie Stackhouse series. The final book is due out May 7, 2013. Big spoilers are already out there since the book has been found for sale by fans and yes they read it and did share the outcome with fans. I will share my review of the book after I’ve read and re-read the book.

scan-final

This page of the scans was interesting to me as a fan how they described some of the books. Somehow when I read Deadlocked I completely missed the ‘real’ meaning. It did seem that the writer of the article was given these summaries for the books for a specific reason.

Charlaine also said she wrote the CODA “After Dead” so that she would not have to be answering questions from readers for the rest of her life. Now fans will have the CODA to read to answer their questions. (sorry but that is just a way to sell more books and not answer all the questions in the final book in my opinion). Oh my! So yes fans Charlaine has put her final mark on the series and yes the end is almost here.

An excerpt for the final book is on this link: Dead Ever After

True Blood Season 6 Episode 9 Episode Title and Casting Call

TBS6 eric

A new title and casting call for True Blood’s ninth episode is out:

True Blood episode 6.09 will be called “Life Matters” and a few co-star roles are being cast, including a crazy vampire, a sickly vampire, and a male vampire who is the sickly vampire’s progeny.

Source: SpoilerTV

The sickly vampire call makes me think that perhaps the human war on vampires might include the design of a blood virus that could affect vampires. That or perhaps Hep D makes a reappearance on the show (it was mentioned in season 1).

All the casting calls for season 6 are on this page:

True Blood Season 6 New Promo: Bottle Preview

269940_10151548402823563_1240235853_n

HBO just uploaded a new promo. It features a bottle of Tru Blood with dialogue for season 6:

here is some of the audio from what I can make out:

Yes that is Bill Compton speaking along with the Governor (the governator)

They start with news people talking about the Tru Blood factories being destroyed…vamps rushing out to stockpile Tru Blood (shortages…) The AVL saying that the Tru Blood factories being destroyed was an act of terrorism.

Then you hear Bill Compton saying:  ”Do you have any idea how many humans want to see us dead”?

Governor (I think..) “It’s time for humans to fight back”. Also heard Sometimes we shed to defend ourselves and the people we love.

Heard Jessica saying the world is spinning out of control.

True Blood Season Six Rumors

detail

Recently an article was posted on TV Line discussing the possibility of a True Blood season 6 death. This has set off a storm of buzz and worry across the fandom. Here is what was written:

Question: There are rumors that True Blood is going to kill off the gorgeous and sexy Eric Northam! Please tell me this isn’t true. He is one of the main reasons I watch. —Kelly
Ausiello: I can neither confirm or deny the rumors, but I can offer you two pieces of evidence that suggest such a twist is in the realm of possibility. The first one comes care of Joe Manganiello, who tells TVLine, “We’re getting to the point in the season now where people are starting to die. The table reads are starting to get smaller, and I’m sure they will continue to do that.” Exhibit B, meanwhile, arrives in the form of Episode 7′s title — “The Funeral.” Sorry I don’t have better news for you Kelly.

SOURCE:

EOnline also posted a snippet on the possibility of deaths on True Blood:

Alicia R.: We haven’t heard a peep aboutTrue Blood from my bb Ryan Kwanten. What’s he doing?
He’s probably doing sit-ups somewhere. God bless him. But for real, we did just chat with him about the new season of True Blood, and he delivered some harrowing news. “There are more deaths,” he tells us. “Some favorite characters may not last.” We did not like that piece of scoop (don’t you dare touch Lafayette, TB writers!), but we did like it when Kwanten said that the show was getting back to the supernatural elements and madness that it’s famous for.

Another “death” comment by another cast member:

Eliza: We’re less than two months away from the new season of True Blood, so how about some scoop to celebrate?
Well, can the possibility of death really be cause for celebration? Oh, all right. Take it away, Joe Manganiello: “We’re in the middle of episode six, moving right along. Right now, we still have the big cast with the big table-reads, but pretty soon everybody’s going to start getting knocked off!” Yikes! As for the latest showrunner swap, Manganiello says, “I think withBrian Buckner replacing Alan Ball there’s maybe some hair being let down, maybe some ‘let’s get wild, let’s get crazy!’” SOURCE:

Sorry but I am not drinking the Kool Aid yet. I HIGHLY DOUBT that Eric Northman will be killed off. The whole speculation based on episode 6.07 being titled “Funeral” does not mean it will be a vampire death. Vampires are not buried nor do they receive funerals so why would that title mean it’s a vampire?

Yes there will be a few deaths in season 6. I’m pretty sure a few of them will be in the premiere episode. (my guesses would be–Luna won’t survive the skin walking and probably Nora will be killed as they leave the Authority HQ again all just a guess). There will be OTHER deaths as well. Just look at the casting calls for season 6! They always add a lot of characters that just get killed.

The theme for season 6 of True Blood does seem to be that there will be a “war” between vampires and humans. The actions of the vampires and all the killing of humans in season 5 will have a definite impact on their freedom in season 6. In wars, there are casualties. Again I do not believe that Eric Northman will be one of the casualties.

Waiting sucks but even more when there are nothing but rumors all over the internet! There is a big ____ will die every season on True Blood. It’s not a new rumor!
