True Blood season 7 filming is winding down. The finale for the final season was being filmed this week! Sad to see the series end. They were filming on location earlier this week at the Paramour Estate (also knows as the Canfield – Moreno Estate). This location has been used in other movies and is also used for weddings and many events. Continue reading

UPDATE: True Blood posted new posters for the final season:
True Blood is busy filming their final season. Yes season 7 will be the last one for the show. The location used was located in Los Angeles at the home used for the “Bellefleur” scenes. The home is where Sheriff Andy and his half fairy daughter and Arlene live. Chris Bauer was the only cast member on set while I was there (Had to leave early sadly). When Chris saw that fans were across the street he came on over and took photos and signed autographs.
It really is a small world since there were 2 groups of fans who were from Germany and it turned out they were from the same city! Ingo was in town after filming a music video for ATB and the ladies (one was named Chris ) were also on vacation. It is great meeting fans from all around the world!
The filming was interior shots so we could not see that but could hear them saying “rolling” , action and cut. There was also a large curtain/blue screen and scaffolding in front: Continue reading
True Blood season 7 filming started this week. Earlier in the week Stephen Moyer and Chris Bauer were spotted on location filming for the final season premiere episode.
Last night I was able to see the show filming in another location at a hotel in Los Angeles. The hotel was built in the 1920’s and was originally a YMCA. The decor is a Moroccan theme with vivid colors, detailed tile work and many Persian style rugs. (felt as if I were back in the Middle East where I lived for 2 years).
This location seemed very suited for the action that was listed in the casting call for episode 7.01 titled “Jesus is Gonna Come”.
The shots were interior ones towards the back of the hotel and also downstairs (those images are above).
It was great to see Kristin Bauer van Straten. When she saw us she came right over and was all smiles for our photos.
There was a car with a cute dog waiting with it’s owner and Kristin rolled down her window to say hi to the pup. She is such a big animal lover (and great activist for animal rights). The pup was so cute and was all wags and even ‘talked’ to her (cute little barks).
Spotted Audrey Fisher busily putting the finishing touches on the wardrobes of the many extras on location. She really out did herself with all the different looks for this episode. There were a few extras milling around and came over to us. It was fun seeing them break character with us and then go into their ‘character’ and speak a few words of Arabic.
Saw a few other possible spoilers so I won’t post about them yet. They work so hard on the show I don’t want to ruin all the action. It will be sad to see the show in the final season. Waiting sucks but at least they are busy filming now!
The gallery below contains photos from the on location filming for 01/08/14. The images with watermark are the ones I took. There are a few from the hotel website that I included to show some of the areas we were unable to see due to the filming.
UPDATE: This actor was seen at the location. Could not tell what his role was but sure it was a vampire one. Found this on tumblr stating that he has been cast as Nizor :
Not confirmed if he is playing Nizor but I can see that part for him. imdb has him listed as playing Nizor for the True Blood season 7 premiere. I am not sure he will be in any other episodes (see casting call..)
Casting call stated:
[NIZOR] Male, Persian, late 30s to 50s. This burly vampire involved in a game of Russian roulette in a Moroccan bar derives courage and comfort from his faith in Allah…GUEST STAR
Since the mistress of this site is sitting in Ballroom 20 waiting for the True Blood panel to begin, her humble servants will gladly help her out and post some Comic Con Goodies!
The June 10, 2013 issue of US Weekly featured the photo above showing Rutina Wesley, Anna Paquin, and Lucy Griffiths in a scene for True Blood’s season 6. It was part of their “Look at This” column in the magazine.
The article states: Where we left off: High on Lilith’s blood, vamp Bill declared war on the living.
Identity Crisis: “Is he Bill? Is he a vampire god? queries coexec producer Angela Robinson, adding, “There’s hope for him.” Bill’s ex Sookie tries to appeal to his benevolent side….
Getting Busy….adn still finds time to date! Hints Robinson, “She may have a new love interest.” Signs point to fellow faerie Ben (Rob Kazinsky). Meanwhile Tara and Pam find their lusty romance complicated.
Crackdown When the Louisiana governor (Arliss Howard) cuts vamp rights, says Robinson, a defiant Eric “pays dearly”.
Waiting sucks for the new season but it is almost here! The same magazine also featured a write up and photo from Alex’s film “The East”.
True Blood season 5 finale will air this upcoming Sunday. Many are wondering just what will fans see in the finale. There are quite a few story lines that need to be tied up and hopefully resolved on Sunday.
The image above is of Nora Gainsborough showing her looking over her shoulder. What is she seeing? The location of this image appears to be at The Authority. Perhaps Nora is on her way to help get Pam and Jessica out of the jail there while Eric and Sookie are trying to talk some sense into Bill? Is Nora stopped by another vampire? Too many questions come to mind. Hopefully the finale will finally answer a lot of the questions fans have had this seaon (and not leave us waiting for season 6 with a lot more questions)
UPDATE: I’m wondering now if perhaps Nora might be at Fangtasia’s? Maybe Eric takes her there after leaving the Authority. The background reminded me of the basement-image below is from episode 5.11 “Sunset”. The area to the left has similar coloring.
HBO posted the “Inside the Episode” video for “Sunset”. So what did you think of tonight’s episode? Looks like the finale is going to be wild!
True Blood aired episode 59 “Sunset” tonight. There is only one episode left for the fifth season.
Screencaps are below:

The page here will have the screen caps:. I’m adding as fast as possible. Enjoy!
HBO treated True Blood fans to new promo videos for the upcoming episode 5.10. They gave a little taste of what we will see on Sunday night. Here are some speculations based on the promo videos and the casting call and episode summary for the episode.
The casting call gives a glimpse into the new characters we will see in this episode:
Episode #510, “Gone, Gone, Gone”
[COLE AND ROBBIE] Male, mid 20s to early 30s. These two redneck vampire-haters at Merlotte’s plan to take out a vampire, but they’re quickly neutralized, terrorized, and humiliated. Co-stars (this will probably be an attempt at harming Jessica. She works at Merlottes. Pretty sure that Sam and the others who are at the bar will come to her aid)
[PROFESSOR WILLIAM O’CONNELL] In his 40s, divorced, youthful and nerdy, this linguistics professor can’t make heads or tails of an ancient text. He thinks it’s probably a hoax, or a prank sent by a rival university. One day guest star (the document he might be reading could be the Fairy scroll that Jason and Sookie find perhaps)
[AUTHORITY GUARD CAPTAIN] Male, 30s. Businesslike, polite but firm, this vampire is sent to retrieve another vampire’s progeny and escort her someplace else. Co-star (looks like the progeny that is retrieved is Jessica-we see her in the preview not agreeing with Bill. “this new nest you are in”…)
[FAERIE] Female Caucasian, early to late 20s. She is radiantly beautiful and British. ONLY SUBMIT ACTRESSES WITH A GREEN CARD OR WHO CAN DO AN AUTHENTIC BRITISH ACCENT…POSSIBLE RECURRING
The episode description states:
With vampire-on-human attacks increasing, the Authority attempts to woo public favor. Meanwhile, Nora (Lucy Griffiths) tries to convert Eric to Lilith’s gospel.
Jason finds a mysterious scroll;- this is the scroll shown in the image above.
Elijah (Keram Malicki-Sanchez),
the new vampire sheriff of Area 5, pushes Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) and Tara (Rutina Wesley) to obey a new mandate; Tara is shown in the image above and is pretty upset. It also looks like Ginger on the table in the office at Fangtasia’s. Will Elijah feed on Ginger a bit too much? Does not bode well for the fangbanger!
Sam (Sam Trammell) and Luna (Janina Gavankar) search for Emma (Chloe Noelle); Russell (Denis O’Hare) seeks a higher calling. Luna is seen in the image above sneaking into Newlin’s dressing room. Looks like he will be on tv as the AVL spokesperson. In the last episode Russell gave Steve a “puppy”. That were pup was Ermma. Luna will be out for blood. It does look like she is captured and taken to Authority jail:
The episode preview “Bloody Romance” showed Steve Newlin and Russell having a romantic dance.
It would have been a picture perfect romantic setting were it not for the many bloody bodies at their feet! Looks like they visited a fraternity house and had a bit of a human feast! The home used to film this scene is a historical home and features beautiful wood work: (I took photos of the exterior May 2012. Filming was on 5/10/12)
Killing that many college frat boys will come back to bite The Authority big time. Perhaps one of the victims will turn out to be Judge Clements. (the Judge went to the fairy club with Jason and Andy)
Eric will still be imprisoned by The Authority and we see him apparently tortured/drugged when he is brought to Bill. (wearing an Authority pin) The are trying to mislead fans when we also see Bill arming an iStake. The vamp that will probably be ‘staked’ might be techie Molly. (but I hope it is not her):
Some fans are speculating that Bill has a “plan” and that is why he appears to be acting the way he has the past few episodes. I’m not convinced he has a plan to trick the Authority/Salome. He is enjoying the power of being in The Authority a bit too much to be just going along with the ‘plan’. (at least to me)
There are only a few episodes left in the fifth season and there will need to be a lot of ‘action’ to answer a lot of questions and resolve the many storylines. I can see Bill explaining the Tru Blood plant attacks as being from anti-vampire human groups. Why would vampires blow up their source of food-probably will be the reason given by Mr. Compton.
Hopefully Sookie will find an answer as to which vampire killed her parents. The promo “Unexpected Guest” shows Mike Spencer coming for a visit. Mike might be there to do harm to Sookie. Pretty sure Sookie will use that little gun she has to get out of trouble.
The season finale in prior seasons had many deaths. Will season 5 finale also bring a high body count? A few of the cast have hinted that yes the finale will also have a “blood bath”. Just which characters will be killed off is the big question.
So what do you see in the previews for episode 5.10? Any thoughts or ideas ? Feel free to leave a comment and give a holler.
Episode 5.10 was written by Alexander Woo; directed by Scott Winant.
UPDATE: TVLine posted the image below and the following info on this sneek peek image:
For weeks, we — not to mention True Blood’s Eric — have wondered WTH is up with Bill. Suddenly, the good guy’s been siding with the Sanguinistas and even helping them scheme to serve up humanity as an all-you-can eat buffet. But, as is suggested by the following exclusive sneak peek at this week’s episode (Sunday at 9/8c on HBO), all may not be as it seems.
Just look at the shiftiness in Bill’s eyes as he hovers over (well, near) that vial of precious Lilith’s blood. Something tells me he’s about to do an about-face, betray Salome and Co., and save the world. (Something else tells me this was his plan all along.) What do you think? Is Bill going to ride to the rescue? Or is he merely angling to get himself an unauthorized taste of the original vamp?
Yes TV line also thinks it might be a plan. I’m still not convinced. Of course I cold be wrong. Bill for many seasons has been portrayed as the vampire missing his humanity. Also he has betrayed Sookie by allowing her to be beaten by the Rattrays. So he has had a dark side before and the new developments are not that unusual (to me)
Highlight Hollywood posted a tidbit for fans on the upcoming True Blood episode 5.09 “Everybody wants to Rule the World”. Here’s and excerpt: SPOILERS…..
In “Everybody Wants to Rule the World,” as the Authority proceeds with Lilith’s plan, Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) plots his escape, and with serious consequences. Gran (Lois Smith) directs Sookie (Anna Paquin) to a clue to her parents’ murderer. Fans will be shocked where this all leads eventually. But she soon is happy that Jason told her to save her fairy powers. An exhausted Andy (Chris Bauer) and Jason (Ryan Kwanten) search for leads to the identities of the people behind the shifter killings. Andy will face some major challenges, that may affect his sobriety on V. Alcide (Joe Manganiello) recalls his pack induction, and he regrets an earlier move. Arlene (Carrie Preston) gets caught in Terry (Todd Lowe) and Patrick’s (Scott Foley) crossfire, and leave it to Arlene not to know when to leave things alone. And just wait to see Steve (Michael McMillian) getting a new pet. Expect a howling good time! And Russell ensnares the Shreveport wolf pack in his secret new plan, that not even The Authority expects.
The former Sheriff Budd Dearbourne will play a part in revealing the secret as well. Plus, we’d better worry about the Holy war about to break out between the vampires and humans. Bill has moved into a dark place, and Eric remains the lone vampire on the side of humans, especially Sookie. The profound revelations about Sookie and Jason’s parents will hit the two very hard, as well as Trubies, who are itching to know the identity of “Worlo!”
“Everybody Wants to Rule the World” was written by Raelle Tucker, and directed by Dan Attias.
So who’s ready for new Blood??
HBO has a new episode image on their site. This one is from episode 5.09 “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” and it features Andy and Sam. The caption is “Andy and Sam arguing”. Just what are they arguing about? We will find out on Sunday night. The episode description states:
As the Authority proceeds with Lilith’s plan, Eric plots his escape. Vampires celebrate the start of the holy war. Gran directs Sookie to a clue to her parents’ murderer. Andy and Jason search for leads to the identities of the people behind the shifter killings. Alcide recalls his pack induction; Arlene gets caught in Terry and Patrick’s crossfire; Steve gets a new pet. Anti-supernatural zealots put Sookie in danger.
The episode is written by Raelle Tucker and directed by Dan Attias.
Still waiting to see if there will be any new promos for this upcoming episode. The promo that aired on Sunday 7/29/12 is linked here: HBO promo
