True Blood will air their seventh episode on Sunday. The trailer below shows some of what we will see. I spy a lot of interesting action! Spoilers!! It does not bode very well for Nora who was infected with deadly Hep V virus in last week’s episode.
The episode synopsis states:
Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) makes a last-ditch effort to save an ailing Nora (Lucy Griffiths). A tragedy close to home forces Sam (Sam Trammell) to ignore Alcide’s (Joe Manganiello) warning and return to Bon Temps. Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) shows her gratitude to James (Luke Grimes), a fellow incarcerated vamp, while an emboldened Sarah (Anna Camp) exacts a measure of revenge on Jason (Ryan Kwanten
Comic Con 2013 once again featured a True Blood panel in Ballroom 20. The room was filled to capacity with fans who waited many many hours for the chance to see the cast and hear about the rest of season 6.
Here are some highlights of the panel: (from EW.com) I was at the panel and the images on this post were ones I took.
The panel: Actors Anna Paquin, Deborah Ann Woll, Kristin Bauer van Straten, Ryan Kwanten, Nelsan Ellis and Rutina Wesley (pictured), Sam Trammell, Michael McMillian, Anna Camp, Joe Manganiello, newcomer Rob Kazinsky (Warlow), and showrunner Brian “Bucky” Buckner
Footage screened: Just a preview of the second half of season 6. Jessica and company enduring more torture at vamp camp, vampires being tormented, Bill acting all crazy and destructive, lots of Sarah, and Sookie entangled with Warlow in a blood-drenched haze. The final shot was Bill lying face-down on the ground…Screencaps for this trailer are on this post:
Snap judgment: Comic-Con loooooooves True Blood, and the thirsty crowd erupted into raucous cheers for each panelist. When Joe Manganiello said … well, anything, really, but in particular, the simple remark that “Alcide’s not a small guy” — high-pitched screams filled the giant ballroom. New cast member Kazinsky was adorably overwhelmed. “How trippy is this Comic-Con?” he had to point out. “Forty-five-hundred of you right now! Plus, Joe’s really close — and he’s way bigger.”
…..and it was good! It was one of my favorite scenes. I am just going to hit the highlights this time around so let’s go!
The new episode of True Blood aired tonight. It was titled “You’re No Good”. (the original title was “Abducted”). The episode synopsis stated:
Bill looks for a solution to an impending catastrophe; Eric takes a hostage, while Sam tries to recover one. Irate over Burrell’s blatant aggression towards vampires, Eric takes matters into his own hands and takes a hostage. After dangerously testing the limits of his powers, Bill enlists a TruBlood innovator to synthesize a new type of blood – but has difficulty finding the right donor. Sookie begins to learn why Warlow is after her. Sam receives unexpected help from Nicole and her Vampire Unity Society (V.U.S.) associates. Steve Newlin (Michael McMillian) finds his past ideals turning into a current nightmare.
HBO posted their recap/inside the episode video shown below:
Sound off in the comments on what you thought of tonight’s episode.
Here are some screencaps from episode 6.03:
November has officially arrived and with it our second annual fundraiser in honor of Kristin Bauer van Straten’s (Pamela Sywnford de Beaufort) birthday! Along with True Blood Fan Source, Skarsgard Fans,ASkarsgard.net, Eric and Sookie Lovers, and Inspired by Ian will be helping with this month long birthday celebrations. The fundraiser kicks off today and will run through December 1st for something very near and dear to Kristin, her documentary Out for Africa.
Kristin, her husband Abri, and a camera crew set off for Kenya in August to shoot the documentary that centers on the upsurge in ivory poaching that has threatened the population of the African elephant and seen the disappearance of the rhino in the wild. Within this story, we are introduced to the people and organizations that are on the front lines every single day trying to save more animals from meeting the same fate.
The Kickstarter campaign Kristin finished running back in August helped her get to Africa to shoot. But to finish it will require even more support, which is where we come in. This year, we will be not setting a finite goal for how much money we want to raise. Instead we’re aiming for as much as possible because finishing a film is expensive!
To accomplish that goal we’re bringing back our giveaway with lots of prizes including:
3 True Blood by VMODA V-80 Headsets courtesy of VMODA
A True Blood: Eats, Drinks, and Bites from Bon Temps & True Blood Journal Set courtesy of Chronicle Books
A Men of True Blood Movie Pack including Battleship starring Alexander Skarsgard (Eric Northman), The Barrens starring Stephen Moyer (Bill Compton), and Magic Mike starring Joe Manganiello (Alcide Herveaux.) Magic Mike is provided courtesy of Warner Bros Home Entertainment.
Mini Forsaken Beauty Set that includes the Sookie Sookie Nail Polish Set and Forsaken Lip Color and Nail Color Set
True Blood: The Complete Fourth Season Blu Ray Combo Pack
Once Upon a Time: The Complete Fourth Season on Blu Ray featuring Kristin as Maleficent
A CW new show pack including Arrow, Emily Owens MD, and Beauty and the Beast featuring posters from those shows and an Arrow bottle opener and Coaster set.
Like last year, every $10 donated using the donate button below will constitute an entry into the giveaway.
In addition to our giveaway prizes there will be several other ways to contribute as well. We’ll be adding items into the True Blood Fan Source store that you can buy, such as our “Blood Sucker” wristbands and all items sales will go to Out for Africa.
Our friends Inspired by Ian will be selling plushies that will benefit Out for Africa in their store as well. Not to mention we’ll be auctioning a few items off!
After our fundraiser ends, the funds will be given to Kristin along with a card with the names of everyone who contributes no matter what format you choose to support Out for Africa.
So please go hit that donate button or hit a link below! Thank you so much! (I’ll be donating a few goodies as well- photos from Comic Con/PaleyFest and other fun pix)
While in Rome for the True Blood season 5 premiere on Fox Italy, Alexander Skarsgard, Valentina Cervi and Kristin Bauer van Straten attended the Fox Press Call October 4, 2012.
Many new photos and interviews are coming out of the Rome Fiction Fest and the Press event. I’ll keep updating the site as they come in.
The interview below is from : Screen Week IT blog
He’s a Viking, but often smiles and is kind. And it is for this reason that despite the ambiguity of his character in True Blood, Alexander Skarsgard (Eric in the series) is the most beloved of the HBO series. Together with Valentina Cervi and Kristin Bauer Van Straten – respectively Salome and Pam – accompanied at the Roma Fiction Festpresentation of the new episodes, but only he gave us a nice interview in which he talked about the new course of the series, the fans, the its projects.
The 5th season, in our opinion one of the best, brought the fun to a higher level, between politics and epic. She thinks it is a safe bet for the future or too great a risk to run?
I think it’s an important step because we have expanded the mirror of the themes and tone of the series, we are confronted with a more political approach without forgetting the fun that is the basis of the series. This allows me to have a different relationship withBill that I find very interesting. In addition, the break of five months between the preparation and the work of the different seasons also allows me to be able to recharge the batteries, make films, and more, so that the return – and at this time the writers write – I am even more excited to discover that way they have done to take the series.
And this year in these 5 months off, what did you do?
I shot Hidden , produced by Warner Bros and directed by the brothers Duffer , a story set in a very intense fallout shelter for 300 days in which a family escape a catastrophe. It was hard, almost always in the dark, so I lost weight eating salad and water and without power I had to face intense physical strain. Now I’m charging for True Blood and it’s strange: when, after I just finished shooting, I found myself on the red carpet of theEmmys, and I found blinding lights compared to rats with which I was looking at a few days before.
Last night you had another demonstration of how much you love the fans: how do you maintain a relationship as strong as actors with the fandom?
I’m excited about the basis of our fans who support us incessantly for 5 years. Here in Rome I did not know what to expect because the last time I was there, 10 years ago, True Blood did not yet exist, and it was great to feel the love of people even outside of where you work. In our work fans are everything, and our job is to make them happy and emotional and this is the first thought, when we read the scripts as we go around doing the promotional tour: when meeting the fans I’m always happy and grateful.
Hope the fans in Italy enjoy the fifth season of True Blood! The gallery below has photos from the Rome Fiction Fest event 10/3/12:
Kristin Bauer will be traveling to Africa and will document her work there and record onto a DVD documentary:
From the kickstarter page link here:
I’m Kristin Bauer van Straten, aka Pam from “True Blood”, my husband and I are off to Africa to film a documentary about the people, the land, and the horrific Elephant Ivory and Rhino horn poaching that is at an all time high since it was banned in 1989.
I will be taking a camera crew to Kenya to ask Africans, the on the ground experts and heroes; what is happening, what the possible solutions are and, How can we help you? They are living this crisis and working very hard to stop it, they know what can be done – they just need a larger voice. Together is the only way elephants and rhino may make it and also the only way I will be able to do make this documentary. In the last six months 2 species of rhino have gone extinct and more are on the brink. I don’t think we can afford to wait to do something.
I have set the goal lower than what I need on this Kickstarter campaign because with Kickstarter it’s all or nothing. You make your goal or you get zero. But I am hoping to make it so much fun that we will make double, or triple our goal! Any purchase is help and support. This is a huge undertaking in every respect to take a camera crew all over Kenya to meet with the people of Kenya, the impressive experts and groups that are making such a difference ~ Like the orphange for elephant and rhino babies in Nairobi. We’ll interview experts in Amboseli, who are creating a network of over 100,000 people from many government agencies, working together to police the illegal trade in the parks, at the seaports and airports. We will also find out about the campaign in China to lessen the demand using a PSA campaign that shows a Mother elephant’s worried when her baby is so happy to be cutting her first “teeth” as Mom knows it could mean her death.
Every dollar helps! And help me spread the word about this movie and come back often…I will be adding incentives as I get more items from my cast mates and friends! The heroes in Africa really can’t do this alone and nether can I. I hope you will be inspired to come on this incredible journey of passion and love with my husband and me.
I’d love to find out how much fun we can have doing the right thing!
To find out more and also to see photos of the incentives visit www.OutForAfrica.com. Together all things are possible.
Much Love, Kristin and Abri

The True Blood panel at Comic Con was definitely one of the fan favorites. My group started camping out for ballroom 20 at midnight and there were already many many fans there. It was well worth the exhaustion and lack of sleep!! Still editing the many photos I was able to take from the front row.
My friend got this photo from the screen showing Stephen pointing me out wearing the ‘awful yellow sweatshirt’ (as Pam said to Sookie!):
I wore a yellow sweatshirt much like the one Kristin wore as Vampire Pam when she turned Tara. Yes the awful yellow sweatshirt. Kristin spotted me and the other cast as well saw me there. They asked me to stand up and I let them know I had 2 friends further back who also had them on. Alex was trying to spot them in the photo below:
the text below is from the San Jose Mercury News (but my photos)
The Saturday presentation at Comic-Con for HBO’s “True Blood” kicked off with a trailer teasing the remaining episodes of the campy HBO vampire series’ fifth season.
The fast-moving footage showed Lafayette (played by Nelsan Ellis) channeling spirits, newbie vampire Tara (Rutina Wesley) working as a burlesque dancer, Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) going wild and old-school vampire Bill (Stephen Moyer) seemingly sucking down on Sookie (Anna Paquin).
“True Blood” actors Paquin, Moyer, Wesley, and Woll were joined by their co-stars Alexander Skarsgard, Christopher Meloni, Kristin Bauer, Ryan Kwanten, Sam Trammell and Joe Manganiello, as well as “True Blood” executive producer Alan Ball for the high-energy panel attended by more than 4,000 con-goers.
Other than the spoilery footage, the cast kept the biggest secrets about the current season under wraps. Paquin called the final scene in the fifth season finale “very, very crazy,” while Ball hinted that the audience will learn more about Sookie’s parents, and there would be three new romances.
“There’s also a lot of people having sex, but those don’t really count as romances,” Ball added.
The panel descended into a howling frenziness at several points during the hour-long presentation, including when “Magic Mike” co-star Manganiello empowered Ball and new cast member Meloni to perform the “body roll”. Ryan Kwanten was dared to walk on his hands across the stage inside a mammoth ballroom in the San Diego Convention Center.
Saturday’s panel ended with a standing ovation for Ball, who is stepping down as the showrunner of “True Blood” next season.
I will add my commentary as soon as I can. Some of my favorite moments were seeing Alex console Kristin when she started to cry talking about the scene where Eric releases Pam, How neither of them wanted to do that scene. Alex also blushed quite a bit when Joe was doing the body roll. When Christopher Meloni gave Alex his name tag, Alex planted a big ole kiss on his cheek. (he had blown a kiss to the fan who had asked Alex for his name tag).
It was fun to see the cast once again. Alex has some of the most amazing fans in the world! It was so worth the waiting on line since midnight to get a great seat.
If anyone deserves an award for their performance in True Blood, it would have to be Alexander Skarsgård and Kristin Bauer Van Straten, hands down! The release scene between their characters, Eric and Pam, had me literally in tears. I have not cried about anything shown in True Blood since Godric met the sun and his ‘true death’. The scene was that powerful! How about a reminder?
Eric: “What you said in anger, you were right. I have to release you and it’s not because I don’t trust you or because I don’t care. It’s because you are my only progeny, my one legacy. I need you to live while I’m gone.”
Pam: “If that is your wish, I understand. I accept.Do it”
Eric: “Pamela, I renounce the ties of our blood and my dominion over you as my progeny. As your maker, I release you. You are my child, as I was the child of Godric. You were born into greatness. Your a maker now, our blood will thrive, do you understand?”
Denis O’Hare thought it was a brilliant performance as well, judging by this tweet!

The long awaited flashback to when Eric Northman met Pam and turned her was in this episode. It was fun to see Pam as a human in 1905 San Francisco:
Another scene shown in the Inside the Episode video was when Luna discovers whether her daughter will be a were or a shifter:
I can’t imagine opening the door to discover this:
