Comic Con 2013 was held in San Diego 7/17/13 – 7/21/13. The four days were jam packed with walking around the exhibit halls, panels, enjoying fans and taking lots of photos.
Day one images are on this gallery at the bottom of page. The Walking Dead booth featured “zombies” at the prison. It also would not be Comic Con without the protestors outside in the gaslamp area
For some reason they feel the need to stand there and yell out their feelings and views on religion.
Day 2 highlights included meeting Kara Eberle and Kathleen Zuelch from “Rooster Teeth”. Rooster Teeth has the longest running web series titled “Red vs. Blue”.
It was great to see the cosplayers dressed up as RWBY- Red, White, Blue , Yellow. I was able to interview Kara and Kathleen (still working on editing the video for that) and it was great to hear that they have strong female characters that are not just based on physical looks -Brains and strength instead of just looking hot. Kara is the voice of the character “Weiss” and Kathleen is the voice of “Tex” and “Glinda Goodwich”.
The Profiles in History booth had many of the items that will be auctioned off during their upcoming auction. It was a lot of fun to chat with Brian Chanes and Joe Maddalena.

Fans from all around the world stopped by their booth. I saw a fan from Brazil who was so excited to get his photo taken with them.
Friday night Day 2 was just amazing since I was able to do the photographs for the “Vikings’ press room. Travis Fimmel, Clive Standen, George Blagen, Gustaf Skarsgard (yes Alex’s brother!), Jessalyn Gilsig, Katheryn Winnick were there representing the cast of the popular History channel. They cast was excited about the upcoming season 2.
My night was just perfect when Gustaf noticed that I was wearing a green Hammarby soccer shirt! He gave me a thumbs up and wanted me to join him on the red carpet.
He gave some super cool smiles and appreciated having a fan there to take photos. He also was grateful for the support from fans.
I will write a separate post for the Day 3 panels since there were quite a few tv shows being featured. Day 4 was also a blast since I got to meet some more of the Rooster Teeth crew! It was impossible to do all the things I wanted do during this year’s Comic Con but I’m happy I did manage to do all the fun things I did get to do!! Can’t wait for next year.
