Here is a great opportunity for True Blood fans to help EJ Scott raise money for Choroideremia Research Foundation. EJ Scott is Deborah Woll’s boyfriend and he will be running 12 marathons in 2012 in 12 different cities and wishes to raise at least $12,000 in each city. One of the items being auctined off is a cut out of Alexander Skarsgard as his character in True Blood-Eric Northman. This cut out has been autographed by the cast of True Blood. See the video below for cut-out and the video from EJ.

Hopefully fans have recovered from their True Blood fangover to enjoy the new episode “Cold Grey Light of Dawn”. The new episode trailers are teasing fans as to what they might see including a new initiation for Alcide and Debbie and Jason offering Hoyt advice. (poor Hoyt). UPDATE: Boston Herald gave fans new SPOILERS LINK HERE:
In the last episode we saw the powerful witch Antonia being burned at the stake. We also learned why she hates the vampires so much. It was at their fangs she was tortured, raped and sentenced to die. (the vampire priests were probably protected by the church). As she was burning, we could hear her cast out a chant in Latin.
Her fellow “witches” held prisoner in the church dungeon could also be heard joining in on the chant. The chant was a spell that cast out the sleeping vampires to walk into the daylight..
This is what I believe is being said in the chant:
E veru ex pere en cris tuus ex pere mori.
flama vere pere escapa pere tuus spiri tuus , mori, flama vere pere escapa, pere tuus mori spiri tuus ca pere
Behold, I am gone to die from the stake of thy Christ.
Truly I am gone your spirit, your flame I am gone, to die escape. (this is repeated) A huge thanks to Mj from FB who found the translation (the closed captioning on her tv translated the chant):
“Hellspawn demon, creature of death. Fire shall take your very breath.” this was repeated over and over.
As much sense as it can make but it sounds like her chant called out the vampire’s “magic/spirit” what makes them sleep during the day to leave (to escape) and to die. The vampires are seen waking into the daylight and burning up:
The priest in the front is Luis’ maker and the others are fellow vampire priests and nuns. They burn up in the daylight:
From the episode summary and also from the trailer for episode 4.07 “Cold Grey Light of Dawn” we know this
With Marnie empowered by spirits of the dead, Bill issues an unpopular order to save vampires from the light.
Since MarniA now knows the “spell” and is also a necromancer it makes sense that she will peform the incantation in another prayer circle. The preview trailer showed a vampire walking in the sun and yes burning up. Link here: King Bill will have to issue an edict that the vampires will need to be chained in silver to keep them from walking into the daylight. This post showed various screencaps from the preview trailer showing Bill, Eric and Nan chained up.
Jessica is also at risk of walking into the sun and was shown in the trailer opening the door during daylight.
Either King Bill has her at his home to protect her or she is having issues with Hoyt. It does seems that she will be cast out of Hoyt’s home perhaps (due to jealousy over Jason) and may not have had time to be “chained up”. Never fear it looks like Jason might try to save her since he is shown tackling one of King Bill’s guards. Waiting for the new episode still really sucks!
Alexander Skarsgard Italy posted the poster above on their FB page. What a way to start the day! Looks like it might be a promo poster for the AVL. A nice group of vampires all fangy!
Not sure if this is fan made or what but looks great. Also interesting how Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) is wearing a wedding band in this image. (he is married in real life to Anna Paquin but never has shown the band on the show before). It almost looks like this is a family portrait with 2 familes. Bill/Nan and Jess and Eric and Pam as the second family . However in this portrait it seems that Jess is with Eric and Pam. Bill and Nan are seated as if they were the matriarch and patriarch of the group. Interesting.
Nan and Bill are supposed to have a “back story” and were shown in one of the 80′s flashback scenes for season 4. Waitng SUCKS. Perhaps the AVL is having them be their “poster family couple” (Nan and Bill).
Oh and the makeup in this photo does not look like the “vampire” look. They are more natural ie not pale or bloody eyes/fingernails as they appear in the show. So maybe it is a way to keep from looking like the big bad scary vampires.
here’s a close up on the ring:
Golden Apple Comics hosted the Lucid Comic Hardcover release tonight with writer Michael McMillian. True Blood’s Reverend Newlin was on hand to sign copies for fans. Michael posted photos via twitter of his True Blood friends who came out to show support. Deborah Woll-True Blood’s Jessica Hamby is shown above. Anna Camp-True Blood’s Sarah Newlin also was there to support her True Blood husband. (photo below)
Great to see the fellow True Blood castmates supporting Michael! Lucid is published by Archaia.
True Blood season 4 premiere synopsis teased fans with what they may see in the first episode of the season. In the prior entry I speculated just what we might see for Sookie, Sam and Jesus and Lafayette. post link here:True Blood Twists ahead In this entry I’ll cover the remainder of the synopsis. This entry is a major SPOILER containing images and text that may spoil for some fans. So if you don’t want to know, don’t read on! The teaser trailers have shown us a lot of the season 4 action (but of course not all of it) and the season premiere synopsis states:
1. Eric and Bill try to win back the human public
The “antics” of King Russell Edginton has left many humans feeling not very fond of vampires. We did see grafitti painted on Fangtasia in the season 3 finale and Jessica found a burning cross on Bill Compton’s property. Just how will Eric and Bill win back the human public? I can see a big “public relations” advertising type campaign and having vamps perform public service for charities perhaps?
I do hope even though Jessica is with Hoyt that somehow she will continue to get “training” on what it takes to survive as a vampire. Bill started with her training in season 3. Just hope it is enough.
Just how we will see that part of the episode is not my only question. My bigger issue is will there be any repercussions from Bill’s attempt at cementing Eric? It does seem strange that there won’t be some type of punishment. I don’t see Eric harming Bill since he knows Bill was important in Sookie’s life at one time. Losing Bill would still cause her pain and I don’t think Eric would want that. Again just my observations. Season 4 will be showing fans the “other” side of Eric that we had glimpses of in season 3. Yes not all fans are viking vampire fans so this might be interesting for them to see. I try to stay away from the team mentality us versus them thought. It’s a fun show to watch and it doesn’t seem fun to bash at all.
The image below was from the wait is almost over video. It looks like Eric is still with all his “faculties” ie memory.
2.Jason learns that no good deed goes unpunished
Jason was featured in the waiting sucks video trailer tied to a bed looking quite a mess. Cuts, (bites) shown on his body. What did poor Jason do to deserve this? Is this the “no good deed goes unpunished”?
I think the action from the screen caps of Jason being tied up are for the third episode of the season. The title is “If you love me why am I dyin’”. We might see whatever it is that Jason does to get that treatment in the season premiere.
Poor Jason! The image above does show a black blur perhaps being the source of the pain for Jason. (and the cuts shown below from the wait is almost over promo)
Still will be interesting to see just how Jason adjusts to living in Hotshot.
3.Tara finds refuge in close quarters
Could the “close quarters” mean the cage fighting scenes that were mentioned in the casting call for episode 4.01? The character of Naomi is mentioned as being a fighter and has a love interest with a fellow fighter! I still believe that Luna is speaking of Naomi when she mentions her ex to Sam in the waiting sucks video. There is also a question of is it Tara that Pam is throwing in the dungeon at Fangtasia (shown in the recent Wait is almost over promo). I still believe that it is Lafayette that Pam is tossing down there:
Yes it looks like it could be Lafayette. But it could be Tara? Another screen image in the same trailer shows Tara holding a gun on someone in the basement at Fangtasia. Hmm could be she is breaking Lafayette out?
Tara is shown with Sookie sitting on the couch in Sookie’s home in the Invitation to the Set trailer. It looks like Tara is having a pretty deep conversation with her friend Sookie. Tara’s hair looks a lot longer than when we saw her in the Season 3 finale. Perhaps Tara is filling Sookie in on just what has been going on in her life (since Sookie was probably gone for a while in FaeLand):
Whatever it is ahead for Tara I hope she will face in style. The events of season 3 have left our usually sassy Tara a bit vulnerable. Perhaps Tara will have her very own “lie back and think of Estonia” moments!
4. Hoyt and Jessica debate the dinner menu
Jessica is shown at Fangtasia is the new promos for season 4. Looks like she has a lot of fun with Hoyt and also being a vampire. I wonder if the dinner menu issue has to do with her not liking the synthetic blood. It was fun to see her eyeing the “dancer pole” at the vampire bar! It might be Jessica trying out a dance on there!
I did a capture of the “wait is almost over” to try and see if it is Jessica-this shows the next scene as well (the panther). It almost looks like it is Jessica trying out the pole!
I just can’t see Hoyt’s mom giving Jessica a lot of dinner menu ideas for Hoyt. Also doubt that Summer will be giving her the recipe for her bisquits.
5. Terry tries to alleviate Arleneʼs fears about the baby
The only scenes with Terry and Arlene in the promo videos for season 4 seem to be taking place in the Halloween season. Waiting sucks video 6 also show us that the timeline does appear to jump ahead in season 4. Terry is shown with the baby! I just hope whatever it is that Arlene is worried about makes sense. Just don’t want a demonic possesion or a storyline that does not make a lot of sense (please no maenad eyes on that baby!)
Waiting sucks. New videos help make the wait less painful.
Waiting for season 4 of True Blood does suck but at least fans have wonderful new interviews to enjoy while waiting for June to get here. LAist – interviewed several of the cast on Saturday night before the PaleyFest panel for True Blood started. Here are the youtube videos of Deborah Woll and Jim Parrack. for more of his great interviews please visit laist.com here
Digital Spy recently chatted with Deborah Woll on upcoming Season 4 of True Blood (spoiler alert)……
Deborah Ann Woll has suggested that the relationship between Jessica and Bill will improve in the fourth season.
Speaking to E! Online, Woll hinted that Bill (Stephen Moyer) will start to become more of a mentor to Jessica.
“I think we’re definitely in a healing stage where he’s finally accepting that he has a progeny, that he has a daughter vampire, and he needs to give me tools to actually survive,” she said. “So he’s definitely more co-operative and participatory in my growing up.”
However, Woll suggested that Jessica’s relationship with Hoyt (Jim Parrack) will not be so good.
“[Jessica and Hoyt] ended in a very positive place but obviously that won’t last for long,” she said. “We definitely pick up with a bit more trouble happening. Bon Temps is a scary place! The first two episodes are very interesting – Jim and I had some really fun stuff to play with right off the bat. But maybe the first episode is my favorite as of now, just because it is the most varied.”
Lucky fans were able to have their “All Together” comic book signed today at the Barnes and Noble at The Grove in Los Angeles. Sam Trammell, Rutina Wesley and Deborah Woll were present to sign copies of the new collection “All Together” recently released.

There is another ebay auction up now for a copy of Charlaine Harris’ book “Club Dead”. The True Blood cast members that were present at Comic Con July 2010 autographed the copy for auction. The proceeds will benefit Choroideremia Research Foundation. Deborah Woll’s boyfriend has the condition and the cast signed the book to help raise funds for this cause.
The book is autographed by:
Alan Ball – show creator/writer/director/producer
Deborah Woll was featured in the January 2011 issue of Allure Magazine. The images in the gallery below are from the interview and photoshoot for Allure Magazine. This issue featured the value of a good makeover and how it can play up to your best features. Deborah has had to alter her appearance for her role on True Blood. In the interview she says “I used to be insecure about my fair skin, especially my legs-because that is a lot of white”. The photographs of Deborah are amazing! The issue is well worth a read. Loved seeing Deborah Woll in the many looks!
Each of the images for the photo shoot relate to a stage in makeovers.
In the first one named “blank canvas” (shown above)she appears with no makeup, no hairstyling and yes no wardrobe!
The second image is titled “Grecian Formula” where she is shown wearing a spiked updo and bold red lipstick. Fun to see our baby vamp Jessica dressed as a goddess!
