Alexander filmed during August 2009 for the new film “Straw Dogs”. His role in the film is to play the ex-boyfriend. The film is from writer/producer/director Rod Lurie. James Marsden and Kate Bosworth are also scheduled to appear in the film.

This film is reported by “Variety” to be a remake of the 1971 Sam Peckinpaw film “Straw Dogs” so all are waiting to see how Mr. Lurie will interpret this controversial film.

Marsden plays a Hollywood screenwriter who relocates with his wife, played by Kate Bosworth to her hometown in Mississippi. Alexander Skarsgard will play her former  high school boyfriend. His character is described as an ex-football hero who “sees the return of his former girlfriend as a way to reclaim glory”. (according to the variety.com article)

Kate Bosworth most recent role was in “21″ and is starring in the upcoming “Warrior’s Way”.
